Despite the common Orian belief, most worshippers of Menasilde consider the moon to have no connection to Orius, instead believing it to be a gift bestowed upon humanity by Menasilde, one intended to watch over them benevolently during hours of darkness.
It builds bleed and smite
Builds both bleed and smite. Unlike the flasks this is not in a BattleEffect we could find — the attack row carries damage but no status, and the lingering blood pool asset references none. It is recorded on the strength of the game's own item description, which says so outright, and confirmed in game.
Buildup fills a meter on the target rather than dealing damage on impact — see status effects. How much it adds resolves from your spell power as you cast, and is not a fixed figure in the game's tables, so no number is published here. Verified in game

Confirmed in game to inflict both bleed and smite buildup, and to drop from the Abbess enemies in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. Our loot table already had Abbess at a 3% chance, so the drop is corroborated from two directions. The game's own description says the same: "a throwable chalice filled with blood which inflicts bleed buildup and smite buildup". No damage figure yet — buildup is confirmed, impact damage is not.
