Terms of Use
In plain terms. This is a free reference site. Use it, share links to it, quote figures from it. Do not scrape the whole database or pass it off as your own. We work hard on accuracy and tell you where every number came from, but we are not the publisher of these games and cannot guarantee their data. Check anything that matters.
1. Agreement
By using LoadoutDB you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use after that means you accept the revision.
2. What this site is
LoadoutDB is a free, publicly available reference for video game data, together with tools such as build planners that compute results from that data. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and nothing to buy. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
3. Accuracy, and its limits
Values on this site are extracted from game data files and published with the patch version they came from. Every value carries a provenance badge stating whether it was datamined, confirmed in game, modelled from datamined inputs, or reported by the community, and where a value is unknown it is labelled as a gap rather than left blank or guessed at.
That is a description of our method, not a warranty. Games are patched, extraction tools misread structures, and modelled values are by definition inferences awaiting confirmation. Figures described as modelled should be treated as our best current understanding rather than as fact.
The site is provided “as is”. You use the information at your own risk and should verify anything that matters to you. If you find something wrong, please tell us — corrections are the point.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- systematically scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or its underlying data files in order to reproduce the database elsewhere;
- republish substantial portions of the compiled database as your own work;
- place automated load on the site beyond ordinary browsing, or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to it;
- use the site for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
Ordinary use is welcome and needs no permission: reading, linking, sharing planner URLs, quoting individual figures with attribution, and citing us in a guide or video.
5. Intellectual property
Ours
The design of this site, its written text, its tooling and the selection and arrangement of the data it presents are owned by Web Sharks Technologies LLC and protected as a compilation. The LoadoutDB name and logo are ours.
Individual facts are not ours
A weapon's damage value is a fact about a game, and facts are not copyrightable. We claim no ownership over the underlying numbers themselves — only over the work of compiling, structuring, computing and presenting them.
The games'
All game titles, characters, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners. LoadoutDB is an independent reference and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CI Games, Hexworks, NEOWIZ, Round8 Studio, Playstack, Cold Symmetry, Koei Tecmo or Team Ninja, or any other publisher or developer. Game names are used descriptively, to identify the game a page is about.
Third-party data
Where a dataset originates with someone else, that is credited in the footer of the relevant game's pages along with its licence. We honour those licence terms and expect the same of anyone using our work.
6. Takedown requests
If you own rights in material on this site and believe it is used improperly, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify the material and your claim. We review takedown requests promptly and act on valid ones — we would rather remove something than argue about it.
7. Advertising and third-party links
This site may carry advertising to cover its costs, and may link to other sites. We do not control advertisers or linked sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Web Sharks Technologies LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the site — including reliance on any figure published here. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Web Sharks Technologies LLC against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of Indiana will have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Those rights apply regardless of the paragraph above.
12. Severability
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in force and the unenforceable provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
