Questline — Free the Tortured Prisoner, and the chain that follows
A caged woman in the Skyrest crypt. Free her and she becomes a merchant in Infernal spells and Pyric Cultist gear, and a co-op summon.
Run-ending mistakes
- Fighting The Sundered Monarch before you deliver the Swaddling Cloth fails the quest. She turns hostile and becomes a secondary boss on the terrace of the King's Bedroom.
- The Charred Letter is easy to walk past. Without it she never moves to the Bloody Pilgrim vestige, so the Swaddling Cloth step never happens.

The route
- Skyrest crypt Shift into Umbral and soulflay four tumors in order: high on the upper-right wall past the archway; the left wall beneath the bridge; a floating platform that only moves once the second is gone; and the right wall near where the light travels. The fourth gives the Searing Accusation.
- Skyrest crypt Bring the Searing Accusation to her cell, go up and rest at a vestige, then return. The cell is unlocked. Take the Tortured Prisoner's Head Cage.
- Top of Skyrest Bridge, by Pieta's arena She asks you to find out what happened to her family before she opens her shop fully. You get the Calrath Noble's Bow gesture.
- Spurned Progeny arena Beat the Spurned Progeny and bring her the Giant Eyeball it leaves.
- Spurned Progeny arena Find the Noblewoman Set in the Upper Calrath marketplace and wear the COMPLETE set to present yourself. Partial pieces do nothing. She gives the Elegant Perfume — keep it, you need it much later.
- Upper Calrath, near the beacon entrance Find the Charred Letter on the stairs beside a burning fire between the lower ward and the upper esplanade, and give it to her. Her shop closes for good.
- Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim Get the Swaddling Cloth BEFORE fighting The Sundered Monarch: Royal Key into the King's Bedroom, through the study and outer ramparts, plant a Vestige Seed on the flowerbed, kill the two Ruiners, take it from the baby's cradle. Deliver it.
- Bramis Castle throne room Kill The Sundered Monarch, using the Elegant Perfume during the fight to briefly stun him.
- Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim She reveals who she is and goes to her rest. Collect the remaining items immediately.

Worth knowing
- Costly: Her shop closes when she moves to Bramis Castle after the Charred Letter. Buy the Infernal spells and Pyric Cultist gear first.
- Costly: Miss the Elegant Perfume at the Upper Calrath stage and you lose the Sundered Monarch stun.
- Costly: Collect the Catalyst, Dress and Skirt from the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim right away — they do not persist once the game is completed.
- She can be summoned at The Hushed Saint, the Lightreaper and The Sundered Monarch. The Lightreaper slot is also wanted by Paladin Isaac and Kukajin.
Shop closes on handing over the Charred Letter. Spend your Vigor before that, not after.

As Queen Sophesia's memories gradually returned to her, she recalled who had tortured her in the past and why. But when she experienced the great agonies of her heart anew, such physical torment was rendered utterly insignificant in comparison.
Numerous and varied are the methods of inflicting pain which have been implemented across Mournstead over the ages, this device being just one of them.
